This weekend (Cyn arrived yesterday, Thursday, afternoon) is the weekend of the Seling Family’s get-together in Eastern WA. “Selin” is Cyn’s Mom’s maiden name. Cynthia is the oldest of eight children, which means getting together with just her siblings & their families is 30+. But adding the Selins means that over 70 people are gathered in one place for a weekend.
Where could you find a place where 70+ can hang out and enjoy each other? Well, it’s not easy. But that being said, I just don’t think you could find a much better spot. The weather is always amazing, and the site features ~6 huge cabins with a large field/ main area where people can hang out (see above) all nestled in the Cascades. The main lodge (see below) can easily fit/eat our group or larger.
Yet 70 is still a frickin-ton of people. this is my (Tim) 4th reunion, and I still feel like an outsider- okay, maybe I’m starting to feel like not-an-0utsider. That’s to say nothing of how awesome all the people here are; they really are amazing. It’s just something about family dynamics.
Probably more to come…
Love this post,Tim!!! Your totally part of the family, we’re approaching 80+ family members by next year!! Love it! The more the merrier!
