Drywall Up (GP #8)

Because this house requires so much work, by far the most important work has been “behind the scenes” stuff- plumbing, sump pump, electricity, framing, waterproofing, etc… These are literally the foundational elements of a house- iIf these things don’t work in the house, nothing matters.

But the real fun begins when the drywall goes up, because that’s when it starts to “feel like a house”.  Up to this this point, most of the work had been “behind-the-scenes”; from here on out, most of the work will be visible.

So we thought to post a “status update” on how far we’ve come.  Here’s a video of our basement from the summer, right when we were considering buying the home:

And, for comparison, here’s the basement from last week:

We’ve come a long way.  We’ve still a ways to go, but it’s nice to think about how far we’ve come, too. 🙂
